Fire Baptized - Kenya Wright Fire Baptized is a young adult book about a new world where Supernatural beings and Humans are divided, but not only are Humans and Sups divided, it’s the Pureblood Sups and Mixies Sups as well. This book tells a story of Lanore who is a mixie that controls fire and it basically revolves around the murders that have been happening consecutively.

I personally found that book very intriguing because it was something new for me to read, plus it was an easy read. The new dialogue and the new characters like Were-cheetahs and half fairies. I find it amazing how writers like Kenya Wright come up with all these new supernatural beings.

Lanore and Meshak have been best buds since they were kids, and eventually had a thing going on for a while. But when Zulu came in, I found that there were things going between Lanore and him as well. Now I personally am not really fond of love triangles because it makes the girl look kind of like a slut. Especially Lanore because she was about to sleep with Meshak right after her and Zulu had a lovely date and everything. That I didn’t like. But both men are extremely hot and sexy.

The story line was great, as I said it was new. I enjoyed it a lot. The sudden deaths felt like a real mind blower to me. I didn’t expect this much death in the book, especially when these deaths are of the people close to the protagonist. How the murders were described was very very creative, it was something I didn’t expect.

All in all, Fire Baptized is an absorbing new read for those who are interested in a bunch of new supernaturals and a new world. If you read the Anita Black series you will love this one!
